When people you would like to learn from talk about subjects of your interest in a relaxed setting, wouldn’t you want to be there? That thought lies at the heart of our kitchen table talk. We asked Joan Duveen, Tae-Hunn Lee, Julian Scott and Arno Roelofs to have a conversation about health. About health and vitality. Solar Calendar

The Spring Equinox Kitchen table talk is the first in a series of extracurricular activities. Around the major terms of the Chinese Solar Calendar we will organize lectures, converstations and meetings. We will invite people who inspire us. That list is long, but we have time. Soon we’ll share more in our calendar and through our newsletter.

Live at Oxrider

If you want to join us live, we have some extra’s for you. We start with a lunch at noon with all visitors. Yan Schroën will do an introduction of the guests for the talk and will elaborate on our ideas for activities around the Chinese Solar Calendar. After the lunch we will have the talk from 2pm till 5pm, at which you will have the chance to ask questions. A chance you will also have after the talk when we will have a drink with all the guests and visitors.

Tae-Hunn Lee
Tae-Hunn Lee has studied Acupuncture and Chinese Philosophy at the International College of Oriental Medicine in East Grinstead, UK. He has been in private, full-time practice since 2003 and has been teaching at the same International College of Oriental Medicine for 12 years and is currently teaching post-graduate seminars on 5 Elements, Stems & Branches and Pulse Diagnosis.

Julian Scott
Julian Scott studied physics at Cambridge University. After working in industry, he pursued acupuncture studies at the International College of Oriental Medicine in England and then at the Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has always had a special interest in optics, visual perception and pediatrics.

Joan Duveen
Joan Duveen has worked in healthcare since 1972, he has practiced acupuncture in his private clinic since 1980 and has taught Chinese philosophy and acupuncture internationally for almost forty years. From an early age Joan was fascinated by Eastern philosophy, meditation and the relationship between body, mind and spirit. He believes and experiences that self-understanding through self-reflection and internal development is an integral part of Chinese medicine.

Arno Roelofs
Arno Roelofs works both as acupuncturist as Jungian analyst. If needed, he combines the two. He shares his vision about Jungian psychology and acupuncture with us in his book The Psychology of Acupuncture. He also teaches in psychological alchemy and is the head teacher and co-founder of JUNGacademie Nederland.
