This first module of the course in classical Chinese herbal medicine introduces you to the basic ideas and history of Chinese herbal medicine. And in addition, you will get an introduction to botany and the action of biochemical constituents in plants.
The Shang Han Lun is one of the most important books in Chinese herbal medicine, and its ideas on the development of disease (pathogenesis), provide the framework in which we will discuss herbs and herbal formulas.
